Elite Preparatory Academy Student Selected to Represent Canada at the International Mathematical Olympiad

Elite Preparatory Academy is proud to announce that Grade 11 student, Zhekai Shen, has been selected to represent Team Canada at the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2025), held this summer in Sunshine Coast, Australia. The IMO is widely recognized as the most prestigious and challenging high school mathematics competition in the world, bringing together top young mathematical talents from over 100 countries.

Zhekai earned his place on the Canadian national team through an exceptional level of dedication, problem-solving ability, and passion for mathematics. His achievement demonstrates not only his individual perseverance but also the high-quality academic environment and personalized support that Elite Preparatory Academy provides to students in STEM fields.

Throughout his time at EPA, Zhekai has consistently excelled in advanced mathematics courses and actively participated in various competitions. Representing a national team on the global stage is an extraordinary honor—and we are incredibly proud of his success.

At Elite Preparatory Academy, we encourage our students to challenge themselves, think critically, and pursue opportunities beyond the classroom. We are committed to fostering academic excellence and supporting students who wish to explore competitive mathematics pathways such as AMC, AIME, USA(J)MO, and ultimately the IMO.

Congratulations, Zhekai!
You continue to inspire our school community, and we cannot wait to see what you will accomplish next.
