SUMMER PROGRAMS

Italy/Casalmaggiore

This is a highly prestigious festival where the only way attend is to be accepted via audition. The
EPA Edition of this special festival combines the best of both worlds; EPA’s touch of nurturing
and inspiration amidst the festivals’ curriculum. For this years collaboration with
Casalmaggiore, we are invited to take a cello ensemble to Italy. Our goal is to teach students
privately, provide coaching for ensembles and rehearse students for the daily concerts. There
will be opportunities to perform in multiple ensembles and in professional concerts during the
3 week stay. This is a great opportunity for students who want to expand their musical abilities
and out of their comfort zone. With daily lessons, ensembles, and concerts to immerse in, your
child will take a huge leap in his/her cello playing.

Master Classes
Musicians will participate in a 3 week program of intense musical study with an outstanding
international faculty. Professional training in the preparation of repertoire for the numerous
performance experiences offers is emphasized.

Student Concerts
There will be public afternoon and evening concerts everyday except for Saturdays and
Sundays. Performers are chosen on the strength of there submitted recording. A unique
opportunity is provided for students who are ready for professional performing experiences
and would like to perform in beautiful halls.

Weekend Trips
Saturday and Sundays are “free days” where the there are field trips to neighboring towns.
There are options of going to Milan, Parma, Piadena, Bologna, and Brecia.
